The Foxtel Group have completed a bold strategic turnaround, renewed the foundations of our business operating model, and launched successful portfolio of streaming products (Kayo, BINGE and Flash). We are currently entering an exciting stage of growth through scale in streaming and strengthening Foxtel; underpinned by world class content and technology.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to play a significant impact in supporting plans and performance in our Entertainment and BINGE content commercial and operational team.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will combine, synthesise and transform financial and non-financial information into insights, understand the drivers that impact the business and use these insights to support effective decisions and contribute to the ongoing success of the Foxtel business. This role will see you provide commercial financial support to the Entertainment content business unit, helping them navigate market and financial information to create commercial value.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Own and manage the financial planning process for Entertainment content and BINGE's operating costs including Foxtel Box Office Pay Per View, Third Party channels, staff cost and overheads
Monitor and understand the commercial operations and results of your business unit, identifying key issues and challenges, and helping to optimise financial outcomes
Work with the Entertainment content commercial finance team to enable effective decision support, from identifying opportunities for transformation through to improving financial models and processes
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business and the wider finance community
Build strong relationships with your business leaders to develop a deep understanding of business issues and work in partnership to co-create solutions for profitable growth
Own and contribute to presentation summaries and outputs suitable for senior stakeholders
Partnering end-to-end with the business on strategy and execution, delivering financial modelling, providing analysis and advice on key projects and initiatives, and leading best in class budget and planning processes to support business and financial performance
Your background should include...
- CA/CPA Qualified with 4 years + experience in a Commercial and/or financial analyst role (Big 4/Mid Tier highly desirable)
Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to build trusted relationships across the business and ability to translate financial information to a range of audiences
Ability to work independently and be outcome driven with a proven experience in working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to prioritise conflicting tasks and deadlines and balance competing priorities
Team player and collaborator - working with team members across the organisation to achieve shared goals of the organisation
A passion for TV, Entertainment or Sport - we're big believers in knowing the product and knowing the customer
