Job description
An exciting and unique ongoing opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Department of Government Services as Senior Finance Business Partner to provide support and advice to clients in their strategic and operational decision making and in the effective management of their budgets.
The responsibilities of the Finance Branch include working closely together to manage DPC and DGS funding, strategic planning, reporting and budget activities.
As the Senior Finance Business Partner you lead on internal budget build, forecasts, financial planning and analysis, journals and transactions as necessary in the financial systems at group level, and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets for the department as a whole. Contributing to the development and review of cabinet submissions, funding proposals, briefings, reports, and information including those for the Treasurer, Cabinet Committees, the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee and State Budget Papers will also be an essential requirement of this role.

* Demonstrated experience in a Business Partnering and management accounting role in a complex organisation
* Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and good time management skills
* Highly developed stakeholder relationship management skills
* Well developed communication skills
* Sound conceptual and analytical skills
Please note that a CA/CPA qualification, a Finance or Accounting Degree or equivalent and a strong Management Accounting and Business Partnering background are a mandatory requirement for this role.
