An exciting opportunity exists within the Corporate Services and Transformation Division, to take on a key role in the provision of financial services support and direction to the organisation. The Senior Finance Business Partner will partner with Council divisions to provide reliable financial information and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Assistance with the preparation of accurate and timely financial data for the production of monthly management reporting and quarterly council reporting.
Contribute to the development of long term and annual financial forecasts, planning budgets and budget controls, including preparation, analysis and interpretation of annual budgets and monthly management reports.
Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard and within agreed month end reporting timeframes.
Provision of assistance in the completion of Council's annual financial statements, statutory audit and reporting requirements.
Provision of accounting system support to the Finance division and wider organisation including technical support and guidance in relation to the organisation’s financial operating systems.
Partner with Council divisions to provide a high level of specialised financial support, engagement and advice relating to budgeting process, monthly and annual reporting processes and any relevant project work. The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree in Accounting/Commerce and be CPA or CA qualified with demonstrated financial management skills and experience. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be fundamental in your ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships and partner with Council's divisions to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
