Exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to join Stockland’s Finance Team in Sydney

The Opportunity - About the Role

In this role you will lead the end-to-end reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting of corporate costs across the organisation. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers / stakeholders, as trusted Finance Business Partner for SLT members, General Managers, Senior Managers and the broader Finance team.

You will analyse and interpret results to provide quality insight to senior stakeholders. Your reporting and analysis will enable you to understand key drivers, highlight trends and identify areas of risk and opportunity, driving a culture of “no surprises”.

You shall also be tasked with challenging the current processes and assumptions, and driving improvement initiatives to deliver greater control, transparency, accuracy and simplification where possible. You will also support the wider finance team by driving initiatives and supporting deliverables across the team.

Leading a team, you will provide guidance, direction and mentoring, and ensuring appropriate development and coaching plans are in place. Whilst embedding a culture of strong control and risk compliance ensuring adherence to accounting policies and internal controls including balance sheet recs and analytical reviews.

About You

You are an experienced Senior Finance Manager with strong business partnering and team management experience, and technical capability across on forecasting & overheads. You enjoy working with cost management strategies, corporate costs and engaging with the Senior Leadership Teams.

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience and qualifications.

• CA or CPA qualified
• SAP experience preferred but not essential
• Extensive experience in corporate / cost accounting, planning, and business partnering.
• Experience supervising or leading a team.
• A proven history of driving continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and influence strong partnerships at all levels across the organization.
• Inquisitive individual with the desire to understand and effectively communicate the “WHY” behind the numbers.
• An autonomous self-starter who is solutions focused and demonstrates a high level of Commercial Awareness and personal accountability.
