Access theThe roleIn this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, forging strong and lasting relationships to facilitate seamless operations and drive continuous improvement. Your contributions will extend beyond day-to-day tasks as you actively participate in identifying emerging issues, offering valuable insights, and aligning with branch plans to achieve overarching Finance Branch objectives.
- Conduct thorough assessments of core systems impacting Department of Health finances, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and Government financial regulations.
- Exhibit expertise in end-to-end processing across various systems integrated with the primary financial management system.
- Actively contribute to team efforts in enhancing or upgrading systems, driving process improvements and efficiencies.
- Prior experience with Financial Systems implementations and complex system environments is advantageous for success in this role.
- Experience in preparing Financial Statements and interpreting relevant government financial regulations, accounting standards, and other requirements to ensure system compliance.
- Strong skills in data manipulation and analysis, including handling large and complex datasets, conducting analysis, and presenting findings effectively.
- Strong oral and written communication, with the ability to engage with senior personnel and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
