Exciting contracting opportunities are available with a large Queensland Government Department for 2x Senior Infrastructure Officers. You will be working within the ICT Operations team ensuring agile service delivery by enabling the provision of secure, high quality information technology services in a client driven environment.
About the Role
The Senior Infrastructure Officers will specifically assist the Department with establishment and transition activities required for the technical establishment of the Brisbane 2032 Coordination Office (BCO). You will work as part of a team that includes an Azure administrator, database administrator and other Infrastructure Officers. As well as working closely with key stakeholders in the Department to ensure that the needs of the business are being met by the team of IT specialists.
Experience with implementation and support experience within configuration management, Azure, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Windows Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Utilising your strong configuration management skills and experience using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager/InTune or equivalent to:
- Ensure that windows and security updates are deployed to End-User compute devices
- Create, manage and deploy application packages
- Maintain system support processes and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
- Undertake routine installations and de-commissioning of items including hardware and/or software and systems within a Microsoft Server and/or Azure environment.
- Conduct tests of hardware, software, systems and services using defined test procedures and diagnostic tools. Correct malfunctions, calling on other experienced colleagues and external resources if required.
- Document details of all hardware/software, systems or service items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated. Develop installation procedures and standards, and schedule installation work.
- Manage configuration items (CIs) and related information. Apply and maintain tools, techniques and processes for identification, classification and control of CIs and ensuring related information is complete, current and accurate.
- Ensure that incidents and requests are handled according to agreed procedure and that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing support.
