We are seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Accountant to oversee and execute all financial management activities across our group's operating entities. The ideal candidate will ensure meticulous management of financial records and activities in compliance with AASB standards while providing strategic business partnering to help achieve our company's objectives outlined in the annual business plan. Longer-term, this role will step-up into a Finance Manager within 24 months. Responsibilities: · Oversee the preparation of financial statements, statutory reports, BAS, and other financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders. · Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data to meet reporting and audit standards. · Contribute to Management Reporting processes. · Assist in developing annual budgets and quarterly/monthly forecasts. · Conduct budget versus actuals analysis for operating budgets across different communities. · Perform comprehensive controls reviews, reconciliations, and trial balances at month-end to provide reliable data to Finance leadership and fulfill statutory requirements. · Process month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. · Identify and communicate risk issues, contributing to the monitoring, documentation, measurement, and mitigation of risks across the organisation. · Help strengthen the organisation's risk and control culture. · Manage the accounting and tax fixed asset register. · Supervise the accounts receivable process. · Assist in managing a stapled trust structure, including inter-entity journals. · Ensure the integrity of taxation records and compliance with relevant provisions such as Income Tax, GST, and FBT, assisting with tax lodgements. · Assist in preparing trust distribution statements and tax provision calculations for flow-through trusts. · Provide support and training to internal stakeholders on interpreting financial data, policies, and procedures.
