We are seeking a finance all-rounder to jump into our finance team and hit the ground running! Our ideal candidate should have 6+ years’ experience in a mix of management accounting and financial control roles. They need to possess clear communication skills with strong documentation writing skills. The successful candidate should be able to think laterally, provide innovative solutions to problems and have the confidence to question the why of what they are doing. The ability to seamlessly transition between different accounting functions is required as we evolve and cross skill the team. A collaborative, positive and team-oriented mindset is essential. Experience in a banking or loans finance team environment would be highly regarded.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform month-end procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring clearing accounts and keeping our internal clients’ needs at front of mind.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management for improving financial performance.
- Ensure that all policies, procedures and processes within the Finance function are fully compliant with all relevant policy and legislation requirements.
- Liaise and coordinate with Auditors, as required to ensure audit compliance (provide appropriate year-end audit files and checklists as needed).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in finance operations.
- Be able to review and create sound procedural documentation.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA / CA certification.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Strong documentation writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Advanced Excel and strong Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively both in the office and WFH.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
