The Position:
Reporting to the Financial Controller you’ll be responsible for gathering and monitoring financials, preparing accurate statements, forecasting, tax, audit and statutory reporting along with the;
- Preparation & review of monthly accounts, reporting & analysis
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Manage the fixed asset register, reconciliation to General Ledger
- Formulate and administer approved general accounting practices
- Participate in the preparation of annual sales, expense & capital budgets and forecasts
- Monitor, review and maintain the general ledger accuracy and structure
- Liaise with and assist with external and internal audit as required
- Manage tax payments and compliance with tax regulations as required
- Handling financial close processes at the end of each month and year
- Mentor junior staff members
- CPA/CA qualified
- Advanced Excel and system savvy
- Strong analytical skills
- Previous experience with taxation and statutory requirements
- A keen eye for process and system improvements
