The primary drivers of this role are to provide support to the Group Finance Manager and take full ownership of the financial accounting function. You will focus on delivering accurate and timely financial information in partnership with the Group’s shared services function. Other responsibilities will include the following:

The primary drivers of this role are to provide support to the Group Finance Manager and take full ownership of the financial accounting function. You will focus on delivering accurate and timely financial information in partnership with the Group’s shared services function. Other responsibilities will include the following:
- Preparation of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other internal management reports as needed.
- Ownership of the Group month end process, including ensuring financial data and reporting is accurate, reconciliations are complete and reviewed, and month end is closed within agreed timetables.
- Work closely with Group Finance Manager to plan and coordinate Group external annual audit and half-year review, including working closely with the team to ensure desired outcomes are met.
- Assist with the preparation of Annual and Half Yearly financial reporting.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Assist with the preparation and lodgement of local statutory direct and indirect taxation requirements, including GST/VAT returns and income tax returns.
- Provide leadership, including coaching and mentoring for other members of the team and conducting training where appropriate.
- Assist with and be a champion for process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives.
