SalaryPSG are working with a larger miner who after a recent acquisition are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. Our client is currently going thorough an ERP change, with plenty of upcoming projects over the next few months and into the new financial year.
The role:
- Support monthly and annual budgeting processes, including stakeholder engagement and variance analysis, and manage the end-to-end monthly forecast cycle with detailed reporting and analysis
- Provide senior management with strategic financial insights for business strategy formulation
- Contribute to medium and long-term business planning and identify methods to optimise operational and production cost efficiencies
- Process month end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers
- Assist with preparing and updating accounting manuals, policies, and procedures
- CPA/ CA qualified
- 3+ years experience within finance
- Previous Management Accounting duties
- Mining industry highly regarded
- Strong excel and use of large ERP
