About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Trading & Portfolio Management Finance team in Perth. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for partnering with the business and stakeholders to provide  timely and robust financial analysis and reporting, supporting forecasting and planning activities, and collaborating with the Accounting function to improve core processes.

Critical to the role’s success is the ability to develop positive relationships with senior business stakeholders fostering a team culture aligned to our One Alinta values.

In this role, you’ll be:

• Drive financial performance management: analyse monthly and forecast financial performance, recommend and collaboratively implement data integrity initiatives
• Develop and deliver business goals: review and improve forecast models and systems, provide forecast information, analyse performance gaps, maintain industry awareness, and improve business processes.
• Build productive relationships: maintain strong connections, and support stakeholder needs.

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience in similar roles which provided base of technical know-how and accountability for results in a similar size business
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)
• Membership of financial institutions and / or professional accounting desirable
• Excel skills, with exposure to Oracle and PowerBI desirable
• Curious, analytical, organised, deadline driven with resilience and the ability to operate in a complex and dynamic environment
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management abilities working with colleagues at all levels across multiple locations
• Knowledge of energy markets, in particular the Western Australian Electricity and Gas markets is preferred but not essential

This role best suits an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial performance, deliver business goals, improve business processes, and  foster collaborative and productive relationships
