The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for leading the financial control of all legal entities within the Pacific region, ensuring the execution of all legal and statutory financial accounting, audits, taxation and all related regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure correct application and recognition of accounting standards (including but not limited to IFRS15 and IFRS16) across all legal entities within the Pacific region
- Review and sign off on all the balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure that all the reconciling items are cleared within 30 days
- Ownership of tax and related submissions, including BAS, FBT, WHT and overseas returns such as EST and BPT
- Lead the year-end external audit process including maintaining the auditor relationships, coordinating the team's response to audit queries, preparation of annual Consolidation Packs and Statutory Accounts
- Ensure transfer pricing documentation is in place and maintained for all legal entities
- Overall responsibility over General Ledger for all legal entities including:
- Timely and accurate monthly reporting, from preparation and posting of Journal entries through to the loading into COGNOS
- Assist Finance Manager in developing management reports (monthly and ad-hoc) for use by Department heads and Executive Committee to enable timely decision making
- Assist where directed on the analysis and completion of budgets, forecast and QBRs

- ERP systems experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification finance work experience
- Audit background preferred
- Experience with multi-national companies and team leadership preferred
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or any other international accounting equivalent)
