We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences, managing a diverse team, and driving business growth.
Role and responsibilities:
- As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor restaurant staff to deliver excellent customer service and achieve performance goals
- Provide comprehensive training to all staff members on customer service best practices, including greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and handling inquiries or complaints professionally
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including managing reservations, seating, and guest inquiries
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee ordering to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers, including promotional events and marketing initiatives
- Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Establish a system for collecting feedback from guests, whether through comment cards, online reviews, or direct communication. Use this feedback constructively to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop menus and specials that meet customer preferences and dietary needs
- Manage budgets, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-saving measures while maximizing revenue
Skills and experience requirements:
- Successful candidates must have at least Diploma qualification in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost-control techniques
- Have at least two (2) years’ work experience in the role of Restaurant Manager
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- A passion for hospitality, food, and beverage, with a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for guests
- Ensure that all food and beverages served meet the restaurant's quality standards. Monitor the presentation of dishes, taste quality, and overall consistency to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence
