AddressMARS are partnering with an established Financial Services company with a global reach. They’re looking to hire a Senior Finance Analyst to join their high performing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will come from a Financial Services organisation with strong Power BI experience. They’re seeking a confident and technically capable individual that isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and immerse themselves in hands-on role.
The Responsibilities:
Management Reporting:
- Work closely with the leadership team to manage monthly management and board reporting.
- Utilise financial and non-financial data to deliver insights on variances to budgets and forecasts.
- Review financial results to ensure accuracy and investigating discrepancies.
Planning and Forecasting:
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans including integrated income statements and balance sheets.
- Take ownership of the planning and forecast model.
Business Intelligence Reporting:
- Convert complex financial and customer data into consumable and logical dashboards.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reporting tools and financial models.
Board Reporting:
- Prepare monthly board reports for senior management.
- Analyse monthly results and provide insights on variances to budget and forecasts.
Insights and Analysis:
- Offer recommendations on initiatives to mitigate planning shortfalls and/or capitalise on business opportunities.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to the leadership team.
The Requirements:
- CA/CPA qualification with 8+ years’ experience in financial analysis, planning and reporting.
- Experience in Banking/Financial services industry (essential).
- Strong proficiency in Power BI and Excel including financial modelling (essential).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and make judgement calls on decision making.
- Strong communication skills and confident dealing with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
To Note:
- They operate 5 days in the office in Sydney’s CBD.
- Only candidates with Financial Services and Power BI experience will be considered.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
