The Role & The Team

Join this dynamic team as a Financial Analyst within the Strategic Financial Planning group at Airservices. In this pivotal role, you'll play a key part in shaping the organization's financial strategy and ensuring its long-term financial sustainability. As a Financial Analyst, you will manage the development of airways revenue pricing models, undertake ad hoc analyses supporting decision-making, and identify early trends and risks through predictive metrics and scenario modelling.

A day in the life involves contributing to the development of Strategic Financial plans, creating decision-support models, and actively participating in the development of regulated pricing submissions and supporting work for the ACCC and airline customers. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization to provide critical insights that drive business performance.

The Person

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Financial Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional critical analysis skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

The Successful Applicant Will Have:

  • Proven experience in corporate advisory firms or in-house corporate strategy/management accounting.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, particularly with Excel, and proficiency in general ledger accounting systems.
  • In-depth understanding of financial and management accounting principles with a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CPA, or CFA will be highly regarded.
  • A track record of contributing to the development of financial plans, decision-support models, and regulated pricing submissions.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will:

  • Contribute actively to the development of Strategic Financial plans, business cases, and enterprise budgeting.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical abilities through cost-benefit financial models.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to provide key insights driving business performance.
  • Identify early trends and risks through predictive metrics and scenario modelling.
