About the role
We have an exciting opportunity in our Northeast office region in the role of Senior Forest Officer (Forest Management). This position is the bat stop for driving native forest regeneration processes. You will ensure programs are met to budget and within business timelines. These programs are based around seed collection, seed stock management, sowing, regeneration surveys, remedial works, wildfire mitigation, and active land management.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in at our Perth (Launceston) Office. The role will see the successful person spending their time between the field and office providing the successful applicant a great variety of work! Some intrastate travel will be required on occasion.
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- A passion for our forests and a keen eye for sustainability.
- Proven experience in forest/ land/ natural resource management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations.
- Knowledge and a commitment to following best practices and continual improvement.
- A love of working in the bush.
