Role Summary
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
We’re looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualities
A degree in Computer Science or similar and ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in web and API development. A portfolio of your recent projects will be useful to help us understand your skillsets.
5+ years' experience working intimately in JavaScript and TypeScript and exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, NodeJS/ExpressJS, WebSocket/Socket.io, TypeScript, Webpack, NPM, Angular, or Vue.js
Experience writing automated tests for front end and backend with test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Ava, Supertest
Experience and exposure to solution design and architecture, scoping, effort estimations and project planning for complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders
Experience using Git repository such as Bitbucket, Github, Azure Devops or other PaaS technology.
Experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline and using tools such as Azure Devops, Bamboo, Travis, Jenkins, as well as other CI/CD tools.
Experience and skills in developing application using SPA architecture, build systems, cross browser compatibility and HTML5/CSS layout, including SASS, UI/UX knowledge and wireframing.
Experience in leading project teams and mentoring developers, work planning using JIRA
Prior experience with application or web development working in fast-paced agile and exposure to modern collaborative tools such as Scrum and Test-Driven Development.
Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Healthcare data preferred but not essential.
Experience with Azure Cloud Platform, in particular App Services and Virtual Machines are highly desirable.
Experience in database design especially RDBMS and have developed applications using one of the database engines such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL. Knowledge in designing database schemas, complex SQL queries, and managing data transactions is complementary. Knowledge of database normalization, indexing, and creating efficient and scalable APIs that interact seamlessly with data storage systems is beneficial. Be a critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, passionate about delivering high quality work and in timely manner.
Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and building new components and features using JavaScript (ES6+) and utilising modern frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, TypeScript and ExpressJS/NodeJS.
Implement APIs that facilitate communication between the front-end and back-end.
Lead, design, specify, and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, user-friendly, and responsive
Manage and lead the new projects with cross discipline team to deliver a successful application or enhancement to SystemView core product.
Participating in improving our design and contribute to development of new UI/UX design.
Providing technical expertise and support to other part of the business, including debugging, troubleshooting of technical issue during an outage or identified bugs.
Participating in code and peer review process.
Improving our CI/CD pipelines and maintaining solution on Azure Devops platform.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of front-end technologies and stay abreast of current industry trends and emerging technologies.
Improving secure development practices and methodologies of SystemView application.
Contribute to improving our test framework, i.e. Cypress
Participate and take part in Agile development process, including co-managing sprint process and ceremonies.
Participate in technical council or similar councils to improve overall Web and Platform framework and architecture.
