About the role:
Your role will include highly varied geotechnical work, on small to very large scale projects, across a number of disciplines such as multi-storey buildings, industrial and commercial facilities, transport, ports & maritime and energy and water infrastructure projects. We’re looking for versatile people able to assist with liaising with clients, writing proposals, geotechnical reporting and geological models and design and documentation for foundations, retaining walls, earthworks, slope stability and rock mapping and maritime structures. You will be responsible for the development, design and management of geotechnical projects from start to end. The position may also require field work and intra-state and interstate travel for short periods.
About you:
• Degree in Civil or Geological Engineering. Chartered engineer would be an advantage.
• Extensive relevant technical & commercial experience in a similar role, including experience in the design, engineering, and commissioning of Geotechnical Engineering projects and familiarity with geotechnical conditions Australia wide;
• Demonstrated project and people leadership skills;
• Ability to work to deadlines;
• Ability to be proactive and implement change effectively;
• Ability to build strong, professional relationships;
• High proficiency with MS Office and a range of specialist geotechnical software;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
