Roster: Monday to Friday We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our design team. The successful person will provide technical input and guidance across all aspects of geotechnical design for Fortescue’s current mining operations. In this position, you will draw upon your experience with mining operations, geotechnical characterization, and slope stability analysis, to provide safe and value adding direction in geotechnical design processes. You will also be responsible for implementing best practice design in alignment with regulatory and industry guidelines. This is a Perth based role where you will be working alongside and leading other Geotechnical Engineers to provide geotechnical designs that support safe and stable mining while balancing business risk. The role will work closely with our Operational, Geotechnical Assurance, and Structural teams. Key Responsibilities Lead geotechnical analysis and reporting related to open pits and waste rock dumps. Support operations to implement geotechnical designs and to define effective monitoring programs. Undertake studies associated with active mining operations and sustaining development projects.
