Senior Gis Analyst

Onneer seeks an experienced Senior Consultant GIS Analyst to tackle complex geospatial challenges leveraging the ArcGIS software suite. This pivotal role involves leading in strategizing, transforming, and analysing spatial and non-spatial datasets in collaboration with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will identify and bridge sophisticated geospatial capability gaps, ensuring the production and delivery of high-value content for our clients.

• Utilise advanced features of the ArcGIS suite for geospatial tasks with both web and desktop content.
• Lead planning and execution of data transformation and analysis projects.
• Collaborate with teams across functions to identify and address geospatial capability gaps.
• Ensure high-quality client-specific content delivery across multiple GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Mentor junior team members in GIS techniques and participate in continuous learning to stay at the forefront of GIS technology.
• Conduct advanced analyses using ArcGIS tools for spatial statistics, predictive modelling, and develop sophisticated maps and geospatial visualisations.
• Perform quality assurance on geospatial products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
• Generate detailed reports and presentations offering strategic insights to clients.
• Contribute to internal training, sharing advanced GIS techniques and best practices.

• Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field is highly desirable.
• Advanced understanding of GIS concepts and software, supported by coursework or professional experience.
• Certifications in advanced GIS or ArcGIS modules strongly recommended.
• Proven professional experience in the GIS field, which may be considered in lieu of formal educational requirements.
• Demonstrated efforts in self-development (e.g. Esri MOOCs) is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability in utilising ArcGIS for complex geospatial analysis and content delivery.
• Excellent ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects.
• Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
