We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior GIS Consultant to join our Spatial & Visualisation team. As a Senior GIS Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in analysing spatial data, creating digital solutions, and providing insights that underpin our environmental projects. Your expertise will support the team to develop a strong pipeline of work while delivering spatially based digital solutions that enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with Innovation: Chart the course for our spatial analysis, integrating the latest technologies and methodologies to enhance our capabilities
- Manage with Precision: Take the helm on project management, from the meticulous scoping of projects to the triumphant delivery of solutions that exceed expectations
- Analyse with Expertise: Dive deep into spatial data, employing advanced GIS tools and techniques to tackle complex challenges and unveil key insights
- Communicate with Impact: Forge strong connections with stakeholders, translating spatial information into cartographic outputs, web mapping solutions and visualisations
- Mentor with Passion: Cultivate a vibrant team environment, nurturing talent and encouraging continuous learning and development
- Guide Technological Growth: Identify areas of growth and expansion for the organisation within digital, including spatial, visualisation, automation, and AI
- Collaborate with the Team: Coordinate with team members, clients, and stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives
About You:
- Degree qualified in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or a related field
- A track record in spatial analysis, equipped with expertise in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), Remote Sensing, ArcGIS Online or Enterprise and programming (e.g., Python, R).
- Experience with remote sensing, spatial data management, and cartographic design.
- A profound understanding of spatial data management and providing spatial analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A creative approach to overcoming obstacles and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
- Proven experience in client and stakeholder management
- Highly motivated with proven ability to work with minimal supervision
