Senior Gis Technician

The role & you This position sits in the GIS and Land Information team and is part of the IT Department. The Senior GIS Technician will take the lead role in the creation and maintenance of Council’s extensive Planning, Asset and Environmental related spatial data. This supervisory role requires supporting the ongoing development, training, and workload of our GIS Technicians. Therefore, to be successful, you must have strong leadership experience and demonstrated abilities in managing people. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Spatial Systems, Cartography, or related discipline and have sound knowledge and understanding of the Technology One local government software platform. We are seeking an analytically minded and research driven individual who can provide specialist technical advice to customers, stakeholders, contractors, and staff.
