About the role:
As the Senior Manager of Governance & Risk, this position primarily focuses on CPS 230 Operational Risk Management and the Financial Accountability Regime Act 2023. It involves drafting necessary Board or Executive policies to ensure compliance with legislation and facilitating the alignment with CPS 234 for third-party risk management. Additionally, this role entails overseeing the fund's Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and resilience programs.
Duties:
- Collaborate in the preparation of Board papers supporting the approval of policies related to CPS 230, CPS 234, and the Financial Accountability Regime
- Take the lead in formulating, developing, implementing, and revising Board policies
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance governance practices, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements
- Oversee third-party supplier risk management and continuous monitoring to meet legislative standards
- Collaborate in developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks
- Evaluate potential risks and opportunities, enabling the organisation to navigate risks and capitalise on opportunities effectively
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and performance measurements while managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster productive networks
- Utilize data analysis to contribute to the creation of risk detection models, controls, risk indicators, and action plans
- Liaise with relevant regulators, such as APRA and ASIC, as needed
- Adhere to deadlines outlined in APRA's Timetable
- Conduct training sessions for CPS 230, Financial Accountability Regime, CPS 234, and other relevant policies

- Diploma / Advanced Diploma of Superannuation is considered desirable but not essential
- Extensive experience in risk management
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation within the Financial Services industry
- Proven track record in effectively managing teams and achieving exceptional outcomes
- Capability to oversee and drive change, offering practical insights for the implementation of new requirements, particularly at a senior stakeholder level
