The position will also support the management team in the region by acting as coach and mentor to team members undertaking probation and parole case management.
The position has a key role in implementing the Government's Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Strategy and progressing the recommendations in the Not Now, Not Ever report of the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence. The role is responsible for representing Queensland Corrective Services on the Moreton Bay High Risk Team.
The position works collaboratively with government and non-government organisations within the region to coordinate rapid, outcome focussed and multi-agency responses to high risk clients.
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Ability to consider organisational objectives, understand how the team's work aligns to these, and can describe the vision to others;
- proactively manages ambiguity, embraces change and continuous improvement, and assists to engage others in the processes;
- effectively identifies and manages risk and takes a balanced approach to managing competing demands;
- has proven success in working collaboratively within a team and with internal and external stakeholders and staff, to build and maintain professional networks to support improved case management.
- has demonstrated ability in analysing information to develop solutions, make decisions and provide advice that is rigorously considered and supported by a clear rationale
Qualifications, professional registration, conditions and other requirements:
- While there are no mandatory qualifications for the role, demonstrated skills and experience in a case management role and knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the Probation and Parole Case Management Framework is highly desirable.
- The incumbent may be required to work outside of normal work hours and to travel throughout the region. Public transport is not available therefore possession of a valid C class licence is required.
