Our client is a leading private equity backed consumer company. They are regarded as one of the best companies to work for in Sydney. As a result of growth and international expansion, a newly created position has been created in the group accounting function. This role will be responsible for engaging with key executives and ensuring the delivery of the groups external reporting requirements. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Chartered Accountant with an initial career background in audit with PwC, Deloitte, EY or PwC.
The Challenge
Supporting the senior finance leadership team, you will be involved in a broad range of financial and commercial matters.
Use your finance skills to take on responsibility for:
- Stakeholder management with the senior finance leadership team and the broader executive management team
- Assist with the groups financial reporting function including the review of month-end financial statements, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the consolidated accounts and statutory reporting
- Support the group budgeting and planning process
- Maintaining and improving the existing financial risk controls framework
- Identifying and applying process improvements across the reporting functions
- Manage the Group’s year-end and half-year review process with the external auditors
It is a given that you will be a highly ambitious finance executive with a proven skill-set.
Possibly your background may include:
- You started your career at EY, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, BDO or Grant Thornton and have been in a Group Accountant position for the past 12–18 months
- Alternatively, you are a Chartered Accountant with 5–6 years industry experience with a private equity backed business
