Our opportunity


In this role you will be working closely with our Built Form and Projects teams, driving the implementation of HSE processes across our organisation.  Through your coaching skills you will build awareness and knowledge across the business to lift HSE performance.   This role will require you to regularly attend project sites to implement Landcom’s HSE Framework, including HSE assurance processes, contractor management, risk assessments, incident investigations and training.
 
Your key responsibilities will be to:
•    Co-design, communicate and deliver a risk based HSE assurance plan, including verification reviews and audits, HSE observations and site inspections across all active sites and report timely and accurately on findings.
•    Coach and support internal stakeholders during completion of risk assessments for project initiatives and high-risk tasks.
•    Co-design and deliver HSE training programs to uplift internal stakeholders HSE awareness and competency. 
•    Lead the end-to-end incident management process.
•    Partner with the Director HSE in the review and continual improvement of the HSE Framework.
•    Prepare monthly reports on Landcom’s safety performance.
•    Coordinate Landcom’s HSE Committee meetings.
•    Facilitate compliance with HSE requirements related to the engagement, onboarding monitoring, and managing the performance of third parties to ensure these parties fulfill their safety and risk responsibilities.
•    Support Director HSE in embedding psychosocial risk management practices across the business.
•    Manage the Online HSE system including the configuration of new modules and systems upgrades. 
•    Partner with the Director HSE to deliver annual Health and Wellbeing plan.
 
About you:


To be successful in this role you will have:
•    5+ years demonstrated experience as an operational HSE professional in construction, property development, asset management or equivalent high-risk industry. 
•    Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
•    ICAM Lead Investigator. 
•    Advanced Diploma in Work Health and Safety and/or tertiary qualifications, 
•    Demonstrated experience in the implementation and coordination of Safety Management Systems.
•    Demonstrated experience in leading and embedding HSE risk management practices across diverse multi-disciplinary environments, as well as conducting audits and Safety observations. 
•    Experience in developing and delivering a range of Safety training packages to diverse stakeholders.
•    Advanced knowledge of safety and risk management principles along with relevant WHS Legislation and Codes of Practice in NSW.
•    Proven ability to self-manage priorities while progressing multiple initiatives in parallel.
•    Strong communication skills including presentation, training, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
•    Driver’s License be able to work from multiple locations within NSW and be able to travel to project sites on a regular basis. 

Desirable
•    Cert IV Training and Assessment
•    Construction Industry Induction Card.
