Key accountabilities include:
- Lead the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative education and training initiatives for HWQld staff, students, external partners and stakeholders.
- Research, analyse and critically evaluate contemporary health promotion and preventive healthcare practice to develop capability of the current and emerging health workforce.
- Plan and coordinate student placements across HWQld, including but not limited to Nutrition and Dietetics, and Public Health/Health Promotion student placements for undergraduate, post-graduate or Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs.
- Provide practical support to HWQld staff in student supervision including project planning and placement coordination.
- Lead the development of all guidelines, procedures, protocols and support materials for both students and staff to enhance the delivery of learning opportunities at HWQld.
- Oversee and monitor all communication and formal agreements associated with student placements between HWQld and university partners/education providers.
- Collaborate with a range of external stakeholders such as health services and university partners/education providers.
- Manage any HWQld student bursaries, scholarships or fellowships, and coordinate with the education provider, recipients and HWQld staff as required.
- Support HWQld staff to identify opportunities for delivery of lectures, workshops and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate students in collaboration with education providers.
- Support HWQld staff in application for adjunct or industry fellow appointments with university partners.
