Job description

Formally evaluate the implementation of existing and new models of care, specifically in the Emergency Department (ED) Medicine Wise extended hours pharmacy service.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to:

  • To formally evaluate the implementation of existing and new models of care, specifically in the Emergency Department (ED) Medicine Wise extended hours pharmacy servi
  • To provide ongoing coordination and leadership of the Emergency and Trauma Centre Quality Improvement program.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge and application of appropriate Quality Improvement methodologies and an ability to provide sound advice and recommendations on the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tool
  • Experience in a project environment, particularly in clinical improvement projects, including planning, risk management, implementation and evalu
  • Proven effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environm
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake research and benchmarking activities to interpret trends and provide detailed interpretations and analysis of reports and other documentation to provide advice on strategies with respect to Quality Improvement initiati
  • High level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate, advise and influence at a senior lev
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders, often at a senior leDemonstrated ability to prepare written documentation including business cases, guidelines, procedures and reports to assist decision-making and implementation of business improvement initiatives.
  • A knowledge of, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, Queensland Health common office software programs and clinical patient information systems in order to fully utilise these systems to improve resource managem
  • Respect – demonstrates interpersonal savvy, manages conflict appropriately, communicates effectively and balances the needs of all stakeholders with utmost respect to all people at all times
