About the opportunity
The Victorian Government’s North East Link Program is Victoria’s biggest road project that will fix the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network. The project will connect the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels, taking 15,000 trucks a day off local roads, slashing travel times by up to 35 minutes and create new open spaces and walking and cycling connections for local communities.
The project includes a massive overhaul of the Eastern Freeway, creating new express lanes and Melbourne’s first dedicated busway with two new park and ride facilities improving access to public transport in the eastern suburbs.
Laing O’Rourke are working with North East Link Program, Symal, Arcadis and WSP to develop and deliver value-for-money engineering solutions for North East Link Program’s South Package, which includes Eastern Freeway upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road including major bridge upgrades, road upgrades, lane duplications, a new interchange connecting to the North East Link Tunnels and new and upgraded walking and cycling connections and open spaces.
About the role
We are currently seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join us on the North East Link South Alliance. We have a strong pipeline with many opportunities for career progression right here in Victoria.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations
- Toolbox and inductions
- Carry out Health and Safety inspections
- Monitoring and conduct regular HSE governance checks
About you
- Certificate IV in OHS or working toward one with prior tier 1 experience preferable
- Reports and systems knowledge with the ability to utilise technology
- ICAM, RRTWC, RIW preferred
- Hands on and demonstrated experience in assisting supervision and management with HSE issue / action closeout within the workplace
