A look into the role
This Senior HR Adviser role will be aligned to a new client group of Overseas Team Members of which we are expecting vast growth. As a Senior Adviser in our People Advisory team, supporting our Overseas Team Members (OTMs) you will:
be responsible for developing and delivering the people strategy to enable this part of our business to thrive. To succeed in this role, you should be able to proactively create your own work, be solutions focussed, and able to adapt your style as the client group grows.
ensure our processes and procedures are adapted so that they are fit for purpose, meeting both the business needs and creating the best possible environment for OTMs to thrive.
take responsibility for proactively managing issues that arise with several stakeholders including both job and people managers based in the UK and overseas.
be responsible for ensuring the people managers for OTMs receive high quality support and development to set them up for success.
have exposure to key stakeholders and project groups across the business, being key to the success of effective integration between overseas and UK Team Members.
there are exciting opportunities for the right person to expand their knowledge and create an inclusive work culture for Overseas Team Membes.
It's important to note regular travel within the UK will be required to establish relationships with UK job managers and Overseas Team Members people managers across the practice. There may also be very occasional travel to India and / or the Philippines.
Knowing you're right for us
Joining us as a Senior HR Adviser the minimum criteria you'll need is:
Experience of working as a generalist in a large, complex organisation
Examples of how you have supported people managers with initiatives that have made a positive impact on their team
Experience of supporting the business with complex employee relations cases including performance management
Experience of leading on people processes such as performance moderation, talent management and upwards feedback
Experience of working with large client groups
Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
Passionate about creating the best possible experience for our Overseas Team Members
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don't worry if you don't tick every box, we'll help you develop along the way.
Experience of working with colleagues based overseas
You'll ideally be CIPD qualified
You'll have previous work experience in a professional services environment
You'll have experience of collaborating in a service line structure and centres of excellence teams.
You'll be confident in using Microsoft packages
You'll have delivered Inclusion and Diversity interventions, to raise awareness, encourage open and honest conversations and allow people to be themselves at work
