As a Senior HR Advisor at Bis, you will play a crucial role in delivering best practice and commercially focused human resources solutions to support our Underground Division.
Working closely with specific groups, you will provide timely and effective general advice and support while proactively contributing to the implementation of HR strategy and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of operational programs, processes, and initiatives aligned with Bis' People Strategy.
- Aid the underground division in linking People initiatives to business goals, including support on employee engagement and change management initiatives.
- Manage onboarding, probationary periods, and succession planning strategies.
- Support management in using performance tools and implementing improvement plans.
- Provide coaching and support to improve performance within the underground operations.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders in employee disciplinary processes to ensure consistency.
- Assist in coordinating investigations and disciplinary procedures, including drafting documentation.
- Collaborate with the WCIS team to support work-related injuries.
- Support employees affected by non-work-related injuries and fitness for work processes.
- Provide advice on enterprise agreements, awards, and relevant legislation interpretation.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
- Manage documentation associated with salary reviews, letters, and contracts.
- Create reports from HRIS for data analysis, including exit interviews, turnover, and headcount.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar HR advisory role, preferably within the resources sector.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
