Job description

About the role:
The role is part of a small yet dynamic team in the Workforce Reporting and Analysis Unit, HR People Services Division, Human Resource Command. In this role you will provide monthly reporting, ad-hoc reporting, advice and consultancy services to Victoria Police and external stakeholders on human resource metrics, capacity issues and policies. Reporting directly to the Manager of Workforce Reporting & Analysis.
The unit is currently in the process of modernising reporting processes and implementing Power BI, experience and skills with use of Power BI would be highly desirable.

Your duties will include:
  • Assisting with and producing monthly human resource reporting from SAP data.
  • Attending to ad-hoc reporting requests with the ability to analyse data and provide effective reports.
  • Assisting in the development, planning and provision of timely workforce statistics to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake a range of administrative functions including the publication and maintenance of regular HR corporate statistical reports and maintenance and management of various HR systems and databases.
  • Assist in the design and maintenance of self-service HR reports for use by managers and analysts across the organisation.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and provide timely statistics, with the ability to analyse statistical data, identifying trends and issues for senior management and a wide range of internal and external customers.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of personnel including senior managers.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance and interrogation of database systems (preferably HR data related) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Analysis, Access, Word, Power BI and Teams).
Requirements and relevant information:
  • One (1) x full time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
