This role involves a significant responsibility and offers a unique opportunity to leverage data analysis skills in a meaningful way, contributing to the success and impact of our organisation.

  • You are someone with an understanding and capacity to quickly learn about the needs of the not-for-profit sector, community services and the reporting needs and expectations of funders and the government.
  • You have a strong understanding of data governance practices in an Australian not-for-profit context.
  • You are someone who has experience in extracting, merging, cleaning, transforming, analysing and visualising quantitative data using tools such as Google Cloud Platform, Python, SQL and/or Power BI.

  • You have the ability to analyse complex data sets, and derive meaningful insights from such information.
  • You believe every young person deserves a thriving future.
  • You respect and value the perspectives of young people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness, and are prepared to work effectively with young people and create the space for them to lead.
  • You have a meticulous sense of attention to detail and consider yourself to be highly process and procedure driven.
  • You are proactive and resourceful with an ability to problem solve, show initiative, and work independently to service the organisation.

Who you might be (desirable but not essential):

  • You have experience working in a not-for-profit, social enterprise or start up environment.
  • You have exposure to or experience in working as a Senior Analyst or similar role.

Research indicates that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised individuals often wait until they fulfil every requirement. If you believe you have the attributes to do the job but don't match every point on the job ad, that's perfectly fine – we welcome your application and would be thrilled to consider it!
