What you will be doing
- Developing, implementing and advising on HR strategies, policies and practices that support the strategic direction of the department and its operations.
- Providing a range of contemporary HR services in a complex industrial environment, including - organisational change, restructuring, effective HR practices, workforce planning, talent acquisition, role design, learning and capability development, recruitment and selection, disciplinary processes, employee relations, complex case management, WH&S and employment entitlements.
- Leading and developing a high performing team of HR professionals to ensure they continue to achieve desired outcomes of their roles.
- Developing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with the broader HR team, as well as with high level stakeholders across the department and public sector, to deliver a range of HR strategies and initiatives.
- Developing, delivering and facilitating training and workshops.
- Identifying and investigating organisational issues and their implications, recommending innovative solutions and options and facilitating the implementation of change plans.
- Preparing submissions, reports, correspondence and executive briefs on significant human resource issues.
- Representing the department as required at department and whole of Government HR forums.
What we are looking for
- Experience in successfully delivering a broad range of human resource services and advice, often in an environment of conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to in develop and implement human resource projects, programs and policies which support the strategic direction of the department and the Queensland public sector.
- Proven ability to work responsively by developing and maintaining relationships through collaboration with team members, clients and other stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner by using structured written and oral communication.
