We are currently seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join our HPS team in our Brisbane, QLD office.
Reporting to the APAC HSE Leader, The Sr HSE Advisor will provide subject matter expertise to the Honeywell Process Solutions Business across the Pacific and be the key point of contact for the allocated districts.
You will assist Business Managers and Leaders in delivering the IA-HPS HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and drive the company further toward a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Business Leaders, managers, site Engineers / operational staff and customers
- Provide expert advice and assistance to management and employees on work health and safety strategies, programs, systems, policies, standards, and processes
- Design and deliver health and safety training and arranging safety training courses where required
- Advice on injury management and employee health and wellness, related legislation, and best practices
- Drive Compliance to Honeywell corporate requirements and legislation
- Good knowledge, experience on all kind of HSE Audits and certification audits
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislation and best practice in injury management and rehabilitation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster networking between various areas and departments
- HSE oversight of all HPS Field works and HSE Management systems
Key Experience & Capabilities:
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental, Risk Management, Occupational Hygiene or other appropriate qualification related to HSE
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a full time HSE role with demonstrated HSE operational and leadership experience
- Industry sector experience and / or qualifications – Process and construction industry, HVAC, or Electrical. HPS – Refining, Offshore oil and gas (LNG) is highly desirable, pulp and paper, bulk chemical manufacture, minerals processing.
- Adaptability and openness to change and diversity
- Knowledgeable in HSE compliance, emerging regulations, and trends
- Experience in ISO certifications
- Lead auditor, strong investigative, analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to recognize hazards, develop solutions and meet customer requirements
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal with proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in advising senior managers and others on sensitive issues
- Certificate IV TAE – Training and Assessment
