We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Advisor - Offshore Renewables, Work Health and Safety to join the Offshore Renewables Regulation Directorate in our Perth Office.
The OIR regulates the operational activities of the Offshore Renewables sector with a focus on Work Health and Safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management. The functions of the OIR are administered by The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA).
Role:
Reporting to the Executive Director - Offshore Renewables Regulation, you will join a collaborative team of specialists working to establish, implement and deliver the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will assist the coordination and delivery of assessments, inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions in line with the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act 2021 framework.
You will develop, coordinate and implement policies, processes, regulations and guidance documents including the regulation of Work Health and Safety, infrastructure integrity and environmental management for offshore activities. You will engage with a wide range of key stakeholders across government, industry, and the broader community in the Offshore Renewables sector.
You will also research and prepare written materials, publications, and presentations, for a range of internal and external audiences.
We would like to hear from you if:
You have a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrated experience in implementing, administering and / or regulating the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) framework or similar state / territory WHS regime.
You have demonstrated experience in contributing to the development of guidance materials and operating procedures.
You have engaged internal and external stakeholders on implementing strategies, preferably in large scale, technically complex industries, using your well-developed communication and negotiating skills.
