In this broad role you will work closely with the risk leadership team and business heads to implement an industry leading Risk Management framework and an effective controls assurance program. You will also be responsible for:
- Support the business by conducting risk workshops to identify and assess key risks, particularly for strategic initiatives, projects, and changes in business operations.
- Assist the business in evaluating technology risks and developing necessary controls.
- Review and monitor key risk indicators, performing ongoing trend analysis to provide recommendations for improvements.
- Complete compliance assurance reviews and deep dives of key compliance procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining the Business Unit Risk Profile, including Compliance Obligations, and analyse and report on risk exposures.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit issues and fostering a risk-aware culture.
- Support group initiatives across Technology, Finance, HR and outsourced contract arrangements.
- Support Business continuity activities, updating BCM documentation as required.
- Stay abreast of upcoming regulatory changes impacting the business to enable ongoing compliance management.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape (i.e. APRA, ASIC & Corps Act)
- Experience performing Risk and controls testing, and gap analysis reviews across finance, IT and/or broader operations or financial services products.
- Experience in testing controls and designing effective controls.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the wider team and stakeholders.
- Ability to bring a dynamic approach and passion to work.
