This government organisation located in central west Queensland, west of Rockhampton, is seeking an ambitious senior HR Advisor to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. With a management team that is direct and collaborative, we are seeking someone hungry for experience in a regional location and significant career development.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager, you will partner with line managers across the organisation to provide guidance and support on all aspects of HR.
Your duties will include:
Provide timely day-to-day HR advice, support and consultancy to managers and employees in workforce planning, job design, recruitment and on-boarding, employee relations, performance management, remuneration, conflict resolution and off-boarding.
Support executive, management and employees in the interpretation and adherence to the appropriate industrial agreements.
Contribute to the development and review of HR Policies and Procedures.
Ensure the quality and compliance of HR documentation with appropriate storage.
Contribute to the establishment and implementation of an electronic HR Information System for workforce data.
Perform monthly workforce reporting to the HR Manager as required.
Drive the WHS Risk Management process across the organisation and provide key stakeholders with assistance and advice as required.
Develop and conduct regular audits to ensure WHS personnel, training, premises, and processes comply with relevant legislation and HR policies and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, it is essential to have:
A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management with a minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in generalist/WHS HR Advisor role with a sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices.
Proven ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements and/or other industrial agreements, providing advice to management and employees.
Coaching skills at both an organisational and individual level; and
Sound project management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
