Our Office
You will be working in our beautiful and modern office in the heart of Fremantle. The office is a restored heritage building near the historic Round House. With fully equipped change facilities, automated coffee machines, a wellness room, and ergonomic office furniture with electric sit stand desks, working in this office is a pleasure!
We are a stone’s throw away from the port, boasting views of our impressive vessels. To top this off, we are spoilt for choices with the best coffee shops in Fremantle. In addition, we are close to transport links, parking, and the E-Shed Markets.
The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent full-time role as a Senior HR Business Partner within our team. We are looking for an experienced HR professional who would love to help us juggle the many balls in a busy department. You will be supporting a range of internal stakeholders and be a be part of a team that works across Australia. You will report to the to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
The primary task and responsibilities for this position:
- Delivery and compliance with HQ initiatives and directives
- Provide advice, coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policies and procedures
- Primary support for employee grievances
- Development of HR policies and procedures
- Roll out and delivery of global and local HR initiatives
- Conduct exit interviews
- Occasionally assist in the recruitment of employees, utilizing the company’s preferred psychometric tool
- Coordinating, preparing, develop and delivering in-house training programs
- Building strong consultative relationships at all levels
- Assist with general HR administration within the team
The successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the below skills:
- Minium 5 years of solid experience in and HR Generalist/Advisor position.
- Ability to build relationships and influence key stake holders
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail orientated
- Strong track record with HR policies and processes
- Well-developed planning and organisational skills
- Proven facilitation and presentation skills
- Effective development of training resources
- Can do attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team; planning, managing and refining own workload.
- Sound experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Preferred degree qualified in areas of Human Resources/Industrial Relations or similar discipline
