Seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Solution Architect to join an established team.

Your new role
As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of various ICT projects across the division including artificial intelligence and emerging technology. the department primarily used Microsoft Azure, M365, Dynamics365 and DevOps platforms.
The skills and requirements of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Solution Architect, preferably within a federal government department.
- Solid expertise in developing high level and detailed design solutions for Azure based applications.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with Azure Virtual network configuration including hybrid network architecture, and cloud native web ingress patterns.
- Familiar with cyber security controls (ISM), OWASP and Essential 8 controls within federal government departments.
- Detailed technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:
- Understanding business requirements and solutioning designs for Azure based cloud environments.
- Developing high level and detailed design solutions for cloud workloads on the Azure platform including the production of re-usable architecture patterns.
- Ability to build productive relationships and work with stakeholders including enterprise architecture groups, cyber security teams, and cloud operations to secure design approval.
- Applying information security concepts and best practices including Information Security Manual (ISM).
You will also desirably have experience in:
- Experience with a broad range of cloud technologies including Azure AI, ML and Cognitive services, Data Solutions, DevOps, CI/CD, Integration solutions, and API/Services Oriented Architecture.
- Ability to work with limited guidance in an Agile environment.
- Demonstrated experience producing cloud solution designs and supporting highly scalable public facing cloud workloads.
- Demonstrated track record of technical leadership across project and operational tasks

On offer to the successful candidate:
- An initial contract up to 12 months.
- Possibility for further extensions up to 2x 12-months.
- Work in a cental Canberra location, or the ability to work off-site.
