Be part of a high-performing , collaborative and a well established team within the financial services industry with great training & development opportunities and play a vital role in carrying out all Infrastructure storage related configuration activities including storage and hosts zoning, storage provisioning, copy services and masking, disaster recovery configuration and replication for the different SAN storage technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Install and operate the Storage Area Network (SAN) and NAS infrastructure and work on continuous improvement for the performance while ensuring high standard of security and vulnerabilities remediation.
- Configure, maintain and manage continuous data protection for databases and critical systems (EMC SRDF / NetApp SnapMirror) and support during recovery of those database and critical systems.
- Review the storage platforms, SAN switches software ,firmware life cycles, review vendors functional and security newsletters, carry out software and firmware upgrades, apply fixes and security patches.
- Ensure all storage platforms and SAN switches, storage replication and continuous data protection are monitored, logging, alerting and notifications are enabled/configured along with employing specialized monitoring tools for each storage and SAN connectivity technology (DCNM, EMC Unisphere PowerMax, NetApp, etc.) which will give deep insights on the storage and SAN switches performance and healthiness in order to act proactively on predictive failures or bugs.
- Troubleshoot storage performance, connectivity issues, replication and continuous data protection issues along with providing root cause analysis and provide support to other teams during issues.
- Continuously ensure Disaster Recovery Readiness, replication functionality and conduct disaster recovery tests to validate the configuration and readiness
To be Successful in this Role You will Possess:
- Bachelor Degree of Computer science, Information system or Equivalent Degree.
- Extensive experience as a senior Administrator in infrastructure services and storage administration.
- Extensive Knowledge in the following technologies:
- CISCO MDS SAN, Fibre Switches is a must
- EMC VMAX and PowerMAX is a must
- Experience in below technologies is highly regarded:
- NetApp SAN technology is highly desirable
- Operating Systems (UNIX, MS Windows, AIX, VMware)
- VMWare storage principles
- AppSync and other automation tools like Ansible
