Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator (IT)

Our esteemed client, a leader in the energy industry, has a requirement for a Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator to implement, manage and administer the performance, availability, capacity and security of the infrastructure and current suite of applications used by the organisation, including timely actioning of escalations, to deliver required customer satisfaction and service quality while implementing continual improvement initiatives for on-premise infrastructure.

The Senior Infrastructure Systems Administrator will join a growing operations and project team responsible for managing the organisations technology infrastructure environments.

Selection criteria

Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:

Essential:

• Virtual Infrastructure experience (VMWare vCenter, SRM);


• Strong Windows Server (2008 / 2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022) experience;


• Knowledge of domain management, including but not limited to, Active Directory (Forests, Domains, Trusts), DHCP, DNS, Group Policy;


• SAN Technologies (DELL EMC PowerMax, VMAX, VNX, Unity XT, Hitachi HNAS);


• Enterprise Data Protection (Commvault) experience;


• Monitoring / Alerting (SCOM 2012, Splunk, Nagios);


• Scripting (PowerShell); and


• Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow).

Desirable:

• Cloud hyperscaler exposure;


• Hands on experience managing workloads in Jira;


• Delivering infrastructure based on approved designs;


• Contribute to architecture and design forums;


• Producing high quality as-built documentation;


• Strong Incident, Problem and Change Management experience; and


• Willingness to learn cloud automation skills.

Duration

Initial 12-month contract with the option to extend.

Reporting Structure

The role will report to the Foundation Services Lead.
