About the ROLE
Part of the Unita Group, COLLECTIVUS are growing and seeking a Senior Interior Designer. This role is based in our Queensland office, in the heart of Fortitude Valley, close to public transport!
What YOU will be doing
- Work closely with members of Collectivus on projects from concept to completion.
- Deliver conceptual interior design presentations to clients.
- Contribute to design development and documentation phases – ensuring documentation represents the design intent and is applicable for use.
- This is a hands-on role, and you will be required to communicate designs through sketching, 3d modelling, rendering and documentation.
- Assist in managing and guiding client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
- Site meetings with trades and clients overseeing design.
- Provide guidance and support our junior team members, helping them grow and thrive in our studio.
What YOU will bring to the role
- Minimum of 8 + years’ experience as an Interior Designer, with strong retail design experience, or experience in the following areas; hospitality, health and wellness or commercial spaces
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Design.
- Ability to understand a brief and drive designs from concept to completion.
- You will have strong concept and space-planning skills and be experienced in leading client pitches and presentations.
- Local experience is relevant, as you will be required to have an understanding of the current NCC and Australian standards.
- Experience is required in Revit, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in materials, finishes and scheduling.
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- Run projects efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
