About The Role
Chris Clout Design has a role opening and is seeking a passionate, experienced Interior Designer to join our dynamic team.
Reporting directly to and working alongside our Director, Office Manager and Senior Interior Designer, the successful candidate will operate high-end software including Revit to produce interior concepts and documentation for our clients. This roles demand strengths in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.
Key focus for the role includes:
- Ability to produce highly detailed joinery drawings for high-end residential homes
- Comprehensive knowledge of cabinetry design & associated construction techniques
- Coordination of the specification of internal and external materials, fixtures & fittings throughout the design process
- Comprehensive product knowledge of interior/exterior finishes, fixtures & fittings
- Ability to work autonomously throughout all stages of the design process
- Applying knowledge of design construction procedures, building codes and building materials
- Have the ability and experience to thoroughly review and mark-up documentation for team projects
- Read, understand and model from 2D concept sketches, detailed plans and client briefs
- Coordinating with the team to develop detailed modelling within Revit through project modelling and custom families
- Coordinating with the team to convey concepts and colour schemes
- Liaising with clients to meet design brief and implement design changes
- Basic administration duties
- Assist with design aspects of projects including: investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions
- Diploma of Interior Design
- Proven experience (3+ years) in interior design studio management role or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit (3 years minimum), Adobe Creative Suite or similar
- Knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines..
