An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our dynamic team of audit professionals who provide independent and objective assurance across all areas of the Crown Perth and Crown Group operations. Crown is a vibrant workplace that offers a unique landscape for internal audit work like no other in WA.
The Senior Internal Auditor will be responsible for the completion of strategic, operational, and gaming audits in accordance with Crown’s Internal Audit Plan and the monitoring and reporting of Crown’s critical risk exposures and corporate governance responsibilities. Additionally, they will be called upon to support junior team members and assist Internal Audit Management as required.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Execution (planning, fieldwork and reporting) of risk-based internal audits in relation to key operational and functional areas of Crown’s business (incl. but not limited to gaming, financial crime, hospitality, security, surveillance, finance and regulatory areas).
• Presenting to department management of audit results and agreeing management action plans to address identified risk exposures.
• Monitoring / validating the timely implementation of agreed management action plans stemming from audits completed.
• Collaboration with other Internal Audit team members, departmental Management, including other assurance providers, locally and group wide.
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures (including the Code of Conduct).
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification (e.g., Accounting, or related study).
• Completion of CA, CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent qualification
• A minimum of 3 + years’ post graduate experience in a similar role.
• Strong Knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards and Guidelines, and internal audit methods and techniques (e.g., flowcharting, interviewing, presentation of findings, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal).
• High attentiveness to detail.
• Prior experience working with business in a highly regulated environment is highly desirable.
• Experience or understanding of gaming, entertainment, retail and/or hotel operations is desirable.
