This is a 6-month contract until the end of September 2024, so working holiday visas can be considered if they have strong enough experience. This role is an immediate start, so only candidates who can start straight away will be considered.
Your new role
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications and supports the corporate communications portfolio's internal communication strategy, with specific focus on creating compelling content that will go out to over 27,000 employees. This role would suit someone at senior advisor/ executive level as it is very hands-on and less strategic. Main responsibilities include:
Weekly internal news publication – Corralling stories, editing content and templating into an EDM format that will be sent to all employees
Digital TV screen management - Updating and managing content
Analytics – Capture Internal Communications metrics (from various sources) and prepare weekly updates for the leadership team, including insights on trends over time.
Intranet – Work with operational internal communication team to create innovative solutions for intranet campaigns and upload campaign content
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a communication role with strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Demonstrated experience working in an Internal Communications capacity in a large, complex, diverse organisation
- Creative skills, including experience creating content on Canva
- Strong data and analytics skills to be able to understand, analyse and report on engagement metrics of Internal Communications content
- Ability to function effectively under pressure, manage various tasks concurrently, adhere to timelines
