All whilst making your mark on the future.About this part of our organisation:Our Zinc & Copper Assets in Australia include multiple & geographically dispersed operations, including underground and open pit mines, processing plants and port facilities. You will be responsible for those assets within the Mount Isa region and therefore this role is based residentially in Mount Isa.Mount Isa is one of the better facilitated mining towns around the country. With a local community of around 20,000 residents there are multiple choices of schools, supermarkets, and activities. From arts and culture to a thriving sporting community and more, it is the central hub for the surrounding area housing key government services for the region and hosting events such as the largest rodeo in the southern hemisphere.About your potential new position:As the Senior - Investigations & Audit Advisor you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. By facilitating investigations, supporting operations to identify corrective actions which prevent reoccurrence, conducting audits, and implementing proactive measures, you will contribute to our overall HSEC performance and sustainability goals.To deliver on that purpose some of your responsibilities will be:o Lead and support investigations into significant actual and potential incidents and their outcomes, analysing root causes, trends and develop corrective and preventive actions using the ICAM methodology.- Providing expert incident investigative support to the operation.- Participate in post-incident reviews that will assess the efficiency of controls and response.- Ensure investigations adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.o Coordinate reviews and assurance activities for the operations in their incident management processes.o Support the business in preparing for and delivering in internal and external audits.o Coordinate internal audit activities on Health and Safety Management Systems and processes.o Identify gaps and areas for improvement and collaborate with stakeholders to communicate findings and develop action plans.o Audit key performance indicators and metrics to track progress and drive improvement efforts.o Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote HSEC objectives and initiatives.o Maintain accurate records of investigations, audits, and compliance activities and prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.What we expect about you:· You will have formal qualifications in a relevant HSEC discipline supplemented with industry experience.· You will have experience in auditing and investigations in a suitably heavy industry.· Excellent rapport building and superior communication skills in with report writing and personal interactions.· A broad exposure to a variety of industry risks and incident investigation processes (e.g. ICAM).What’s in it for you?You will join a team of professionals who support a complex and dynamic business.
