The Project
CPB Contractors has been selected by the Queensland Government as managing contractor for stage one of the new Bundaberg Hospital. CPB Contractors will lead the design phase of the project which involves the design of a new six-storey hospital for acute, medical, surgical and mental health services, as well as emergency, clinical support services, and associated infrastructure.
Your Opportunity
We are looking for an experience Senior Stakeholder and Community Relations Advisor to support the delivery of the Bundaberg Hospital project. The role is based in Bundaberg and reports to our Project Manager.
You will be responsible for:
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communications plans and programs.
- Anticipate and clarify community concerns to ensure issues can be handled proactively and project impediments minimised or removed.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with the project team, community groups, clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders, as required.
- Support the client’s external communications and stakeholder needs including creation of high-quality communications content tailored for a variety of audiences
- Support the delivery of project events or communication that align with key focus areas including (but not limited to) women in construction, training/skills legacy, health and wellbeing, and Indigenous procurement and employment.
- Respond to community queries in relation to the Project and identify and advise on external issues which may have an impact on the Community.
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations
- Proven experience in a similar role in the construction industry, preferably on major projects
- Experience in front-line Community Relations, managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and resolving enquiries and complaints to a satisfactory outcome
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare a wide variety of written communication materials for internal and external audiences.
