About the Opportunity
Consumer & Business Services are currently seeking multiple Senior Investigators for its Compliance and Enforcement Branch. Reporting to the Investigations Manager, you will undertake investigations into alleged breaches of legislation relating to a wide range of industries ranging across 35+ acts. You will be part of a team of investigators and have the opportunity to have carriage of your own investigations from commencement through to prosecution.
The Senior Investigator is responsible for undertaking and coordinating complex, diverse and sometimes protracted investigations pursuant to legislation administered by Consumer and Business Services. The Senior Investigator may lead or participate in taskforce operations and provide support and guidance to Investigators and other staff in the Compliance and Enforcement branch.

Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C)
Eligible to be appointed and exercise the powers and functions of an Authorised Officer or Inspector under relevant legislation.
Will be authorised to issue Expiation Notices under relevant legislation.
